I started redecorating, updated our banner to fit the new format, battled some spam-bots that had infiltrated the forum, created a couple of new boards in the general section. I'm considering reorganizing the cryptobiology section but haven't settled on a format for it.

I agree about the Cryptid section. Perhaps Sea Monsters, Hominids, Relic Creatures and Out of Place Species, Oddities and Others, and Cryptobotany.

Perhaps we need a to add Religious practices to the occult section, alternatively a sub-board would work. To discuss Deities, religious beliefs, the afterlife, prophecies, ect...
Where would I create a topic for lucid dreaming?

I would put Lucid Dreaming in Psychic Phenomenon, Deities in Entities, Religious Beliefs in Occult Practices, and Afterlife depending on the subject matter would go in Ghost & Haunting or Folklore & Legend. Perhaps we should retitle it Folklore, Legends & Beliefs.
